Animal Care Courses For Autistic Students Entry Level 3

This course is for autistic students who would like to progress onto Animal Care Level 1/2 courses. This engagement programme offers both practical experience and research opportunities to understand various small animals nutrition requirements, habitat and the opportunity to develop enrichment tools. Units include:

  • Animal Investigation 
  • Safety around Animals
  • Looking after Animals 
  • Animals in trouble
  • Animals in the media
  • Animals and the Law
  • Careers in working with Animals 

Animal Care Entry 3 ASDAN

This course is for SEN pupils and is practically based.  The course delivers the competencies required to work in this sector.  The MCDT will discuss with schools and parents/guardians a bespoke programme to support the young person in a caring supportive environment.

Progression is in place to further develop the individuals skills and to progress on a pathway towards employment.
